This year, the money gained from the JP Leader Award was used by Sam Saib, Heston’s Learning Mentor, to take a group of students on an adventure to Go Ape in Berkshire.
Our students have produced an outstanding set of examination results, with 21% of all our GCSE entries securing a grade 7-9.
Heston Community School students and staff are celebrating fantastic A Level and BTEC Level 3 results. Our A Level students secured 51% of their grades at A* - B with a 99.2% pass rate.
The annual Celebration Evening, honouring students for a variety of achievements, was held on Tuesday, 10th July. Students, accompanied by their parents, braved the heat to enjoy celebrating achievements as diverse as academic success and effort to the successful Under 14 Basketball Team who made it to the National Semi-Finals as well as special awards for our talented artists and the Jack Petchey Award winners.
On Thursday 5th July fifteen students from years 7 and 8 attended the science club trip to the ‘Make the Future Live’ event at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Everyone loved the displays and activities and enjoyed learning about how developments in science and engineering could be used to create a more sustainable future.
